Online scheduling is for Routine Eye Exams and Contact Lens appointments. If your appointment is for a medical reason or a follow-up, please call or text the office to schedule at (253) 473-1050. If you do not see your plan listed, it means we do not allow online scheduling for your insurance. You must call or text the office at (253) 473-1050.
All patients over 10 years old who are being seen for an eye exam will have a fee of $39 for Digital Retinal Imaging. This is part of how our doctors examine the health of your eye and is not covered by insurance. By scheduling online, you acknowledge that this fee will be due at the time of service, along with any other copays required by your insurance.
Cash pay exams are $180, retinal imaging included. Contact lens evaluation fees start at $65 and increase in price based on the complexity of the prescription needed.
Please be prepared to pay all copays on the day of your exam.
Please note that providing false information to the online scheduler to secure an appointment will result in your appointment being canceled and a $45 cancellation fee. All insurance must be thoroughly investigated before we can provide treatment. Our office bills Primary insurance only. We do not coordinate billing with additional payers.
Missed appointments or appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $45 cancelation fee.
A Pupillary Distance (PD) is not part of your eyeglass prescription in WA state. Our office utilizes digital measurement systems that are taken in the frame you have selected with us.
We offer a “PD Package” for $35. Our Opticians will take your measurements manually. Once you receive your glasses you may bring them to our office and we will verify that the prescription is indeed correct, and that your measurements are correct.
Please note that without a PD Package, our office does not troubleshoot glasses made online.
Our office charges a service fee of $35 for troubleshooting glasses made elsewhere.
Before we can help you, please return to the office where you purchased the eyewear.
Explain the issue you are having and have their Opticians verify everything. If they are unable to resolve the issue, please have them print a copy of your order.
Ask the Optician to document what troubleshooting has been completed. What we are looking for is; Did they verify they entered the prescription correctly into their system? Did they verify that what they got back from the lab matches what is in their system? Did they verify your pupil distance AND height in the glasses?
Once you have this document, please come to our office and check in at the front desk. Let them know you purchased eyewear elsewhere and you are having difficulty seeing out of them. Show them the order copy with the notes from the other office. They will collect the $35 service fee, and an Optician will be with you shortly.
If we determine that you need to see the eye doctor again, we will schedule you for a prescription recheck. If the recheck results in an updated prescription, we will refund you the $35 processing fee.
Please note that prescription rechecks can only be done within 90 days of when the prescription was written
