While working at St Joseph Medical Center in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit he obtained his Bachelor's of Science in Nursing through the University of Washington Tacoma.
Being very nearsighted (myopic) and forced to only be able to wear glasses, he found it difficult to participate in his passion of martial arts. His life changed when his optometrist introduced him to soft contact lenses which no other doctor had done previously. Now free from glasses, he could perform perform martial arts while seeing clearly and without worry about destroying his glasses. This experience motivated Dr. Ho to return to school to obtain his doctorate in optometry and focus on Myopia Management. Dedicated to improving patient's visual experience, he strongly believes it is better to prevent diseases and near sightedness from happening over treating these problems when they occur. Dr. Ho's experience working as a nurse provides him with a unique perspective of striving to ensure every patient understands and is comfortable with their exam and care plan. He is honored to specialize in Myopia Management and is certified in MiSight daily soft contact lenses as well as Orthokeratology to decrease the progression of myopia. When not striving to improve his patient's vision Dr. Ho enjoys spending time with his wife, critiquing cinema, constructing models, and practicing martial arts. |
